Meet the team!

Thomas Mosman

Executive Director

Thomas Mosman is a medical student at Marshall University. He studied Biology and German Studies at West Virginia University where he discovered an affinity for foreign language and international health. Thomas first began this journey by contributing to a trip in Riobamba, Ecuador with WVU Medlife; and Port-au-Prince, Haiti with Healing Haiti, offering dental and medical care in mobile clinics to rural communities and supporting community projects. In medical school, Thomas has worked alongside a team of peers conducting research in Ekwendeni, Malawi, within the local hospital. Thomas hopes to combine his passions of language and medicine by leading medical service trips and providing care to vulnerable communities in resource-limited areas around the world.

Joshua Eastman

President

Joshua Eastman is a medical student at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. With a civil and environmental engineering degree from Princeton University, Joshua intends to intersect infrastructural systems-based analysis and design with clinical care. His ultimate goal is to work alongside resource-limited, displaced, or oppressed communities around the world to build social, political, and physical infrastructure necessary to advance human health and wellbeing while providing excellent pediatric care, developing community-based research and international partnerships, and teaching. Joshua worked within international NGOs in Varanasi, India and Ft. Liberté, Haiti focused on preventing human trafficking and promoting community health, respectively. Joshua loves learning, working on interdisciplinary teams and projects, teaching, and exploring.

Anna Mayo

Vice President

Anna Mayo is a medical student at Marshall University located in Huntington, WV. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Muskingum University and a Master of Science degree in biomedical research from Marshall University. Additionally, Anna’s professional journey led her to working three years as a Research and Development Chemist at Mylan Pharmaceuticals where she actively contributed to the development of numerous pharmaceutical products. Motivated by her passion for the medical field, Anna aspires to become a physician where she can combine her love for both medicine and people. Furthermore, Anna has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and enjoys engaging with people of various backgrounds. Her overarching career aspiration is to seamlessly integrate these three core facets – medicine, human connection, and international engagement – by focusing her career on the field of international medicine. Anna’s dedication to this cause has led to her participation in various international mission trips, with her most recent endeavor involving the organization and leadership of a team comprising of four medical students to a remote village in Malawi, Africa. During their time there, she and her team provided assistance to a hospital with limited resources while simultaneously conducting research on malaria. This experience further solidified her commitment to global healthcare.
